Overview:

Mr. Chen has handled cases related to Semiconductor Device, Microelectronic Technology, VLSI Design Methodology, Medical Devices, etc. His work includes drafting the patent applications and responding to office actions. He has done a lot of cases for companies like Intel, Philips, Maxim, and Matsushita. Examples of his drafting are patent applications drafting for Philips and Bosch. He has handled some patent invalidation cases in China on behalf of FCI USA LLC, Maxim Integrated Products, etc. In order to understand better the Chinese Patent Law and related practice, he has been to technical seminars or workshops organized in China. Also, he has been to US firms to learn about US Patent Law and related practice to enhance his international insight to the IP industry.

Education and Training:

Mr. Chen received his B.S. degree in Microelectronics from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2000; and his M.S. degree in Microelectronics from Peking University in 2003.

Qualification:

• Recommended by All-China Patent Agents Association (ACPAA) and licensed by the Supreme People’s Court to practice before the courts on patent litigation cases since 2013  
  
• Patent Attorney since 2008
