Japan Group I & II were established to handle the prosecution of incoming applications from Japan and provide related services such as reexamination, invalidation and patent search. In addition, Japan Groups are also responsible for the development of Japanese market, communicating and consulting Japanese clients.
The industries in Japan Groups cover electronics, mechanics and chemistry & chemical engineering. The technical areas include semi-conductor, electronics, electrics, telecommunication, network and terminal system, optical instruments, computer and its application, digital television, electric power system, engines, automobile and components, hydro-mechanics, environmental protection mechanical equipment, printing mechanics, automation control technology, chemistry, chemical materials, chemical mechanics, etc.
Majority members of the groups had working experience in Japan before joining NTD. All the patent attorneys and technical assistants have had work experience in the research and development fields in either academic institutions or R&D institutions and companies. The working languages include Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean.
