Overview:

Mr. Tao Pang, as the IP legal counsel for a number of domestic and international companies, has rich experience in providing advice on brand protection strategy and enforcement, specializes in drafting of legal agreements and contracts related to trademarks, and is also good at making legal analysis and giving solutions to the various trademark disputes the companies may encounter.

During his legal practice of over a decade long, Mr. Pang has handled thousands of cases on trademark registration, refusal, opposition and trademark dispute. He also accumulated rich experience in the area of the recognition of well-known trademarks, trademark administrative litigation and trademark civil litigation with a higher rate of success.

Representative cases:

• 2016: Represented Blancpain LTD.(Swiss) in an administrative lawsuit on trademark review filed in Supreme People’s Court and won the case.
• 2016: Represented Tissot SA(Swiss) in an administrative lawsuit filed in the High Court and successfully revoked several trademarks which copied and imitated the trademarks of Tissot.
• 2015: Represented Clark International Co. Ltd. (United Kingdom) in a trademark administrative lawsuit against TRAB and won the case.
• 2015: Represented Montres Breguet SA (Swiss) in a trademark administrative lawsuit and won the case.
• 2014: Represented Snow Peak, INC. in a trademark administrative lawsuit against TRAB filed in the High Court and successfully revoked several trademarks which were squatted by others.
• 2014: Represented Supercrease LIMITED (United Kingdom) in a trademark administrative lawsuit against TRAB and the trademark contained the drawing of a national flag was successfully registered.
• 2013: Represented DUPONT (USA) in two trademark administrative lawsuits and successfully revoked several trademarks which copied and imitated the trademarks of Dupont.
• 2013: Represented Beijing Yijuhang TradingCo. Ltd. (agency of Italy CAMPO MARZIO Corporation in China) in a trademark infringement lawsuit to defend against a trademark squatter and successfully persuaded the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
• 2012: Represented Project Management Institute (USA) in a trademark administrative lawsuit regarding the effect of the trademark co-existence agreement and won the case.
