    High-tech leads new trends

Sweeping wherever you say to support complex voice commands and wherever you go to recognize human postures and gestures - a black sweeping and mopping robot at the iFLYTEK booth accurately eluded transparent glass cups and swept away coffee beans scattered on the ground under the staff's command.

"This sweeping and mopping robot is equipped with the iFLYTEK Spark Cognitive Model, which can recognize some spoken language," said a staff at the iFLYTEK booth. The iFLYTEK has made patent portfolio planning in various intelligent voice and relevant key technologies for many years, and its products including smart recording pens, translators, and office laptops are widely popular in the consumer market. Last year, iFLYTEK cracked the household cleaning market, believing that its sweeping and mopping robots equipped with highly intelligent voice recognition systems would provide consumers with better choices.

Outside the exhibition halls, an aircraft resembling a car but with propellers attracted many visitors to take photos. This EH216-S unmanned passenger aircraft is self-developed by Guangzhou EHang Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., which can be applied in scenarios including passenger transportation, air tourism, air logistics and medical emergency response.

According to company representatives, EHang presently employs approximately 500 individuals, with nearly half of them dedicated to research and development roles. The company possesses a substantial portfolio of patents in the field of unmanned passenger aircraft. The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) issued a production certificate for EHang's EH216-S unmanned passenger aircraft system in Guangzhou on April 7, 2024, opening doors for its mass production.

    Local specialties showcase international style

"The taste is good!" a taster raved about the ham at the booth of European Union (EU) - China Geographical Indication (GI) Pavilion.

Many GI products were showcased at the GI Pavilion specially set for this CICPE, including wine, cheese, champagne from the EU and Dongting (Mountain) Biluochun tea, Yan'an apples, Zhouzhi kiwifruit, Jinhua ham from China.

"It is our third time coming to the CICPE. We have held specialized promotional meetings for various products and conducted award-winning Q&A sessions in recent days, effectively enhancing the visibility of GI brands," said Huang Wei, Secretary General of the EU Working Committee of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC).

"The CICPE is a key event that integrates brand promotion, economic and trade cooperation, IP protection and cultural exchange together. We aim to increase the visibility of more Chinese and European GI products to consumers here," said Pan Feng, Vice President of the CEATEC.

    Ancient crafts see new vitality

"Making a zisha-ware ceramic tea-pot with an 'ID card'," a display featuring an entire wall of zisha-ware ceramic tea-pots in various shapes at the Jiangsu Pavilion drew considerable attention from visitors.

The zisha-ware tea-pot is a unique pottery handicraft in China, crafted from zisha-ware clay sourced from Yixing and shaped through multiple processing steps.

"Yixing boasts a relatively well-developed zisha-ware industry chain. Since our inception, our company has been committed to establishing a comprehensive ecological loop that encompasses both online and offline for the industry," said Wang Ji, Managing Director of Jiangsu Eazy Cultural Development Co., Ltd. The company has launched an e-commerce platform called Eazy Zisha-Ware Street, which can transform exquisite zisha-ware ceramic creative works into marketable products through copyright incubation, and ensured authenticity of the sold products by assigning  an individual ID card for each teapot, using block-chain traceability technology.

The CICPE, a competitive arena for top-tier global products, not only enhances the visibility of authentic products domestically and internationally but also offers a fresh perspective on the development trend of Chinese brands. Today, an increasing number of high-quality Chinese consumer goods are advancing onto the world stage, sharing the opportunities of China's unified national market with the global community.
