    NTD's senior partners listed in IP Experts TOP 100 CHINA again

    Recently, Asia IP, one of the global leading media for the intellectual property (hereinafter IP), released the ranking list of IP Experts TOP 100 CHINA.  Four senior partners from NTD were again selected. Due to their years’ services in China’s intellectual property field, Mr. Christopher Shaowei, Ms. Heather Lin, Mr. Christopher Chunxiang Shen, and Ms. Aidi Ge were recommended in the list of top IP experts for their professional services and good reputation in IP prosecution and litigation.

    Christopher Shaowei


    Christopher has been with NTD for more than 30 years and has litigated many complex cases and frequently represented his clients before administrative agencies and courts in China.  He also counsels clients and provides legal services in all areas of intellectual property (“IP”) including licensing, dispute resolutions before administrative and judicial authorities, patent law, trademark law, copyright law, trade secrets, unfair competition, domain name disputes, and patent prosecution and invalidation. Christopher has been actively involved in the legislative process in China relating to IP laws and regulations and is a frequent speaker/panelist on patent litigation, trademark enforcement and technology transfer issues at various world leading conferences and seminars.


    Christopher has served as the Vice President of Licensing Executive Society International 2018-2021, Vice President of Licensing Executive Society China, Senior Counsel of Legal Counsels Committee on Economic and Trade Frictions of CCPIT and so on. He is also a member of Intellectual Property Committee of ACLA, American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Intellectuelle (FICIP). Meanwhile, he is the Invited Lecturer of Law School of China University of Political Science and Laws.

       Christopher has been honored for a consecutive number of years as the leading practitioner in IP litigation area in China. During his recent nomination, he has received the following comments from one of his clients, a fortune 500 company –.

    Heather LIN


    Heather joined the firm in 1994 and became a qualified patent attorney in 1996. With a biotech background, Heather represents a full range of clients, from start-ups to multinational companies. Her practice primarily involves patent drafting and prosecution, patent infringement, validity and FTO opinions and litigation, as well as client counselling in IP strategic planning and portfolio management with an emphasis on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. She also advises clients regarding some China-specific IP issues such as utilization of Chinese genetic resources, inventor remuneration and technology import & export registration/approval.


    Before joining NTD, Heather worked as a R & D scientist in the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Institute of Nutritional Resources.

    Christopher Shen


      Christopher Shen joined NTD after graduating from Renmin University of China in 1998 and started his profession in intellectual property. Afterwards, Mr. Shen received advanced education in the United States and earned a LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property Law from the George Washington University Law School. Mr. Shen has been qualified to practice law in both China and New York State since 2000 and 2005 respectively.

      Mr. Shen concentrates his practice in IP strategy counseling, foreign-related IP litigation and administrative enforcement. Mr. Shen has more than 25 years of experience in representing many famous domestic and foreign companies in lawsuits and arbitrations with respect to patent, trademark, copyright and unfair competition disputes. Mr. Shen also has been invited to attend International IP Symposiums many times to deliver speeches in respect of China IP Protection and has been establishing extensive connections with foreign IP attorneys.

      Mr. Shen has received numerous honors during his career, such as WIPR Insights Trademarks Rankings 2023 (China) Senior Statesperson and Outstanding Individual on Contentious field,WTR 1000 Recommended Individual every year from 2019 to 2023, Trade Mark Star 2022 (China) by IP STARS, Recommended Trademark Lawyers in China by Who's Who Legal Magazine under The International Bar Association every Year from 2009 to 2022, Top 100 IP Experts (China) every year from 2021 to 2022, the Directory of National Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response and Guidance Experts issued by CNIPA In 2019, Top 50 IP Leading Individuals 2018-2019 by IPLEAD and IPRdaily.

     Aidi GE


    GE Aidi joined NTD in 1996 and became a qualified trademark attorney in 1998.  In her twenty years practice, she has handled and supervised a large number of trademark prosecution and contentious cases on behalf of multinational clients, many of them are among “Global 500” corporations. She has successfully obtained recognition of well-known trademark before trademark administrative authorities and court for a number of international clients.  Ms. Ge provides strategic counseling to both domestic and international clients.  Her rich experience helps her to provide tactical advice oriented to client’s individual needs and the Chinese business environment. She is adept at providing practical and efficient solutions to complicated trademark disputes in cost-effective manner.
