NTD Updates | NTD Senior Partner Ms. Aidi Ge Attends the 108th PTMG Autumn Conference, Exploring Frontier Issues in Pharmaceutical Trademark Protection

    10/15/2026|EVENTS

From October 7 to 10, 2026, the 108th Autumn Conference of the Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group (PTMG) was held in Prague, Czech Republic. As an annual gathering for intellectual property (IP) professionals across the global pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, this year's conference—themed "Trademark Buddies on a Bohemian Rhapsody"—brought together IP leaders from pharmaceutical companies, specialized attorneys, and industry experts from around the world to engage in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics including artificial intelligence, digital rights protection, and intangible asset strategy. Ms. Aidi Ge, Senior Partner and Head of the Trademark Department at NTD, attended the conference and held extensive exchanges with international peers on the latest practices and trends in pharmaceutical trademark protection.

The 108th PTMG conference featured a rich and wide-ranging agenda that addressed both the pressing issues and the pain points of IP protection in the pharmaceutical sector. Sessions focused on trademark protection practice in the pharmaceutical industry, the application of AI tools within IP departments, domain name portfolio management, design protection for medical devices, trade dress of pharmaceutical products, responses to online IP infringement, the challenges and opportunities of multi-jurisdictional trademark litigation, and the impact of technological convergence on traditional regulatory thinking—core topics that align closely with NTD’s long-standing focus on pharmaceutical brand protection, cross-border enforcement, and digital governance. During the conference, Ms. Ge had in-depth discussions with IP heads of international pharmaceutical companies and organizations as well as attorneys from multiple jurisdictions on practical issues such as global trademark portfolio strategy for pharmaceuticals, responses to cross-border trademark squatting, and trade dress protection. She also shared NTD’s latest practical achievements and insights in pharmaceutical trademark prosecution, enforcement, and compliance management in China.

NTD has long served domestic and international clients in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and life sciences high-technology sectors, building profound expertise in global pharmaceutical trademark portfolio planning, cross-border dispute resolution, anti-counterfeiting, and compliance governance. Ms. Ge’s participation in this PTMG Autumn Conference marks an important step for NTD to deepen its engagement in international pharmaceutical IP dialogue and expand its global professional network. NTD will continue to uphold its philosophy of "professionalism as the foundation and clients as the priority," and leveraging its global collaboration network and deep industry experience, will provide precise, efficient, and forward-looking IP legal services to elevate brand protection and value for pharmaceutical enterprises at home and abroad.
