Statistics show that the number of domestic invention patent rejections reach 229,422 in 2019, an increase of over 60, 000 (up to December 10, 2019) compared with the end of 2018. The dates of filing the patent applications thereinto are mainly in the year of 2016, totaled up to 97, 856.
In combination with the number of granted patents of top 100 agents on the Rank List of Domestic IP Agents for Patent Rejection Number, the average ratio (rejection number divided by the sum of rejection number and grant number) is around 47.1% compared with 39.7% of 2018, from which the number of patent rejections is predicted to rocket to a record high in this year.
