Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade issued the notification on launching the special action of supporting medium and small enterprises to participate in the Belt and Road construction (hereinafter the notification).
The notification is aimed at playing the important role of medium and small enterprises, improving the bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanism, deepening the cooperation and exchange in fields of trade, investment, technology, and infrastructure. The notification also defines the following working focuses:
First, medium and small enterprises are supported to trade and invest in countries along the Belt and Road through taking part in exhibitions and fairs both at home and abroad, establishing technology and trade cooperation platforms, encouraging enterprises to expand international markets with e-commerce, and supporting enterprises to make bilateral investments in regions with permitted conditions.
Second, medium and small enterprises will be provided with high quality services including enhanced services concerning trade information and research, improved comprehensive commercial services, and perfect foreign related legal services.
Third, the international competitiveness of enterprises will be promoted by launching special trainings of issues concerned by enterprises, enhancing the ability and awareness of brand management and the overseas influence of Chinese brands, guiding and regulating enterprises’ business practices abroad to comply with the local laws and regulations.
